Former Miss Switzerland Accuses Donald Trump of Rape in 1993; White House Strongly Denies Claim*

Former Miss Switzerland Accuses Donald Trump of Rape in 1993; White House Strongly Denies Claim

U.S. President Donald Trump is once again facing serious allegations involving women. Former Miss Switzerland finalist and model Beatrice Keul has claimed that Trump raped her at New York’s Plaza Hotel in November 1993. The allegation appears in a staff report released by Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee, which examines Trump’s alleged connections to Jeffrey Epstein. The White House has completely rejected the claims, calling them false and politically motivated.

At the time of the alleged incident, Keul was about 24 years old and worked as a model while also holding a position in financial services in Switzerland. She had been a finalist in the 1992 Miss Switzerland contest. In November 1993 she travelled to New York and Atlantic City to take part in the Donald J. Trump American Dream Pageant. According to the report, during a press luncheon at the Plaza Hotel (then owned by Trump), he approached her and offered to help arrange a U.S. visa and admission to New York University.

Keul told committee staff that a Trump representative later invited her to a hotel suite. Once inside, she alleged, Trump grabbed her from behind and forcibly raped her. The report states that her dress was torn and that she suffered bleeding and bruising. She described the assault as “brutal.” Afterwards, according to her account, Trump repeated his offers of help with a visa and university admission and told her to remain silent, saying “the show must go on.” Keul completed the pageant and returned to Switzerland.

It is worth noting that in a 2024 interview with the Daily Mail, Keul described the same encounter differently. At that time she spoke of unwanted kissing, groping, and an attempt to lift her dress, but said she managed to stop the advances and that the situation did not escalate further. The 2026 Democratic staff report records a more severe allegation. The report itself footnotes the difference between the two accounts. No formal criminal charges have been filed in connection with Keul’s claim, and the matter has not been tested in court.

A White House spokesperson dismissed the allegations as entirely false, stating that “none of these allegations are true” and describing the report as a political attempt to smear the president ahead of the midterm elections. Trump and his allies have previously rejected similar accusations.

Trump has faced multiple high-profile controversies involving women. In the Stormy Daniels case, a New York court convicted him on 34 felony counts related to hush-money payments made to conceal an alleged affair before the 2016 election. In a civil case brought by writer E. Jean Carroll, a jury found him liable for sexual abuse. The latest report forms part of a broader Democratic examination of Trump’s past links to Epstein and includes accounts from several other women.

These latest claims remain unproven allegations. No independent verification or judicial ruling has confirmed them. Such accusations often intensify during election periods in American politics. Republicans have characterised the Democratic staff report as a partisan attack timed for the midterms, while supporters of the accuser emphasise the seriousness of her statement to congressional investigators.

Beatrice Keul currently lives in Switzerland. After the 1993 events she declined further involvement in Trump-related pageants. The narrative centres on alleged promises of career help, pressure, and a demand for silence, yet no formal legal process has begun.

Only further investigation, if any occurs, can clarify the facts. For now the allegation and the White House denial continue to generate public discussion. While Trump holds the presidency, claims of this nature remain a focus of both political debate and media coverage.
