America has finally shown its true face to the world. US President Donald Trump himself announced that America has made the biggest oil deal in world history with Venezuela. But in reality, this is not a deal, it is the biggest oil loot in world history. America has captured 65 billion barrels of proven oil reserves almost for free.
Trump proudly wrote on his Truth Social account that America has gained majority control over more than 65 billion barrels of Venezuela's proven oil reserves, and it didn't cost American taxpayers a single dollar. Just think, grabbing the oil of the country with the world's largest oil reserves without paying money and calling it an achievement - what can be a bigger loot than this?
How did this biggest loot of the century happen?
This loot did not happen in one day. A complete trap was laid for it.
The first phase was sanctions. Venezuela has about 18% of the world's oil reserves, but America imposed such strict sanctions on it that it could not sell its oil at all. Its production fell from 3 million barrels per day in the 2000s to 1 million barrels. The country's economy was brought to its knees.
The second phase was a military blockade. In December 2025, the US military started seizing oil tankers off the coast of Venezuela. Trump himself said that Venezuela has been surrounded by the largest naval blockade in the history of South America. The Venezuelan government called it open loot and international piracy, but America did not listen.
The third and final phase was regime change. In January 2026, President Nicolas Maduro was arrested in a US military operation and taken to New York. After him, Delcy Rodriguez was made interim President. And then what was feared happened. The new government signed a law opening the oil sector to private companies. The oil that Hugo Chavez had nationalized and declared the property of the people was handed back to American companies.
The terms of the deal will make your blood boil
The terms of this deal are no less than slavery for any independent country.
1. America will create a new private company in Venezuela. This company has been given 100-year rights to develop 17 of the largest oil fields. That is, America will extract Venezuela's oil for a century.
2. 55% of the total production will go directly to America, and that too at cost price. Not market price, but cost price.
3. This new company will become the world's second-largest oil reserve holder after Saudi Aramco.
4. The Trump administration claims that this will more than double America's oil reserves and reduce gas prices in America.
The direct meaning is, Venezuela's oil, Venezuela's land, but America's profit. Venezuela has been told that it will get $100 billion in investment and more than $209 billion in tax revenue. But when the oil itself is no longer yours, these figures are just a rattle.
America's New Imperialism - Through Tariffs and Through Weapons
This incident is not just about Venezuela, it is a warning for the whole world. America has now openly resorted to loot.
Somewhere it is looting in the name of tariffs. By imposing 100% tariffs on India, China, Europe, it is squeezing their economies. Somewhere it is looting in the name of weapons. By giving weapons to Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan, it is extorting trillions of dollars from them. And now in Venezuela, it is directly occupying oil wells and looting.
Earlier America used to enter other countries in the name of democracy and human rights, now it has even taken off that mask. Trump is openly saying that Chavez stole the property of American companies, now we are taking it back. That is, your nationalization is theft, and our occupation is a deal.
Why is the world silent?
The biggest question is why the United Nations, the International Court of Justice are all silent? If any other country had done the same thing, it would have been showered with sanctions by now. But there are no rules for America.
Venezuela still has more than 300 billion barrels of oil, which is the highest in the world. But its people never got the benefit of that oil. Earlier corruption and mismanagement ate it, now America is eating it.
History is witness, America went to Iraq also for oil, the same story was in Libya. Now the same script is being repeated in Venezuela, only this time it has been named 'the biggest deal in history'.
This is not a deal, it is a warning that in the coming times, powerful countries will swallow weak countries in the same way for water, oil, and minerals. Today it is Venezuela, tomorrow it will be someone else.
